Kennel

Kishorit has a canine center that specializes in raising and selling Miniature Dachshund and Miniature Schnauzer dogs, with pedigrees and certificates, some of which have become European champions. The center also has a high-level dog boarding house (veterinary care, ceramic-coated enclosures and lamp heating in winter, walks in a large central courtyard), a dog nursing home, groomer and dog grooming services, and a study center that includes extensive literature on dog training, behavior, agility and dog-based therapy.

When we looked for employment industries for Kishorit, we realized that there was an excellent match between building a canine center and the village population. In the search for the right breeds we chose Miniature Schnauzers and Miniature Dachshunds, given their small size, good physical health, ability to pamper and be pampered and the fact that they connect with one specific person, even though they will love the whole family.
Indeed, the Kishorit kennel is an important employment industry for the Kishorit members who work in it. The connection with the dogs satisfies the members’ various needs, such as touch, friendship, love, attention, understanding the life cycle, reducing stress, reducing feelings of frustration, helplessness and loneliness, as well as contact with other adults working in the canine center.
The personal experiences that we see of the members who work in the kennel are backed by studies showing that contact with animals may significantly contribute to human physical and mental health, including developing social relationships with other adults with special needs, and with people in general.
