The therapeutic riding school, which is located in Kishorit Stables, provides riding services to all of the residents in the area, including the Ziv Kishorit School, and of course the members of the village. The farm has a number of Kishorit-owned horses and other horses that board in our stables.
Horse care is a very important source of empowerment for members working in the stables, and therapeutic riding has been proven to be most effective in strengthening self-confidence, sense of independence, increasing environmental awareness, improving communication ability, and dealing with frustrations. Riding requires the ability to deal with authority and rules, develops assertiveness alongside a sense of empathy, and renews trust between the rider and the environment.
Therapeutic riding at Kishorit is particularly suitable for those suffering from communication disorders such as autism and intellectual disabilities, for those who have experienced trauma at various levels, for those suffering from psychiatric and mental health disorders, and for those dealing with ADHD and hyperactivity.
